It happen in China.

True story from rural China.

An incredible love story has come out of China recently
and managed to touch the world.

It is a story of a man and an older woman who ran off to live
and love each other in peace for over half a century.

The 70-year-old Chinese man who hand-carved over 6,000 stairs up a mountain for his 80-year-old wife has passed away in the cave which has been the couple's home for the last 50 years.

Over 50 years ago, Liu Guojiang a 19 year-old boy, fell in love with a 29 year-old widowed mother named Xu Chaoqin..

In a twist worthy of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, friends and relatives criticized the relationship because of the age difference and the fact that Xu already had children.

At that time, it was unacceptable and immoral for a young man to love an older woman.. To avoid the market gossip and the scorn of their communities, the couple decided to elope and lived in a cave in Jiangjin County in Southern ChongQing Municipality.

In the beginning, life was harsh as hey had nothing, no electricity or even food. They had to eat grass and roots they found in the mountain, and Liu made a kerosene lamp that they used to light up their lives.

Xu felt that she had tied Liu down and repeatedly asked him, 'Are you regretful? Liu always replied, 'As long as we are industrious, life will improve.'

In the second year of living in the mountain, Liu began and continued for over 50 years, to hand-carve the steps so that his wife could get down the mountain easily.

Half a century later in 2001, a group of adventurers were exploring the forest and were surprised to find the elderly couple and the over 6,000 hand-carved steps. Liu MingSheng, one of their seven children said, 'My parents loved each other so much, they have lived in seclusion for over 50 years and never been apart a single day. He hand carved more than 6,000 steps over the years for my mother's convenience, although she doesn't go down the mountain that much.'

The couple had lived in peace for over 50 years until one time. Liu, now 72 years, returned from his daily farm work and collapsed. Xu sat and prayed with her husband as he passed away in her arms. So in love with Xu, was Liu, that no one was able to release the grip he had on his wife's hand even after he had passed away.

'You promised me you'll take care of me, you'll always be with me until the day I died, now you left before me, how am I going to live without you?'

Xu spent days softly repeating this sentence and touching her husband's black coffin with tears rolling down her cheeks.

In 2006, their story became one of the top 10 love stories from China , collected by the Chinese Women Weekly. The local government has decided to preserve the love ladder and the place they lived as a museum, so this love story can live forever.

Unexpected things happen in life. Sometime things goes on our way, but sometime it is not. Our time living in this world is short. The best thing happen today will be history tomorrow. Whatever, no matter what tomorrow will bring, true love will always remain the same, until the end...

It is a book!

Selamat Awal Tahun Baru Hijrah 1429...

( why ppl write "awal" in the middle of the words? mcm, Selamat awal tahun baru masihi 2008... nda ngam. n apa Selamat awal tahun baru hijrah in inglis aa? hmm )

i want to read this book that i bought long long time ago, but i didnt. coz if i read, god knows when will i stop. the book is interesting. nya:

"to whom who want the world, u must have knowledge.
to whom who want the "akhirat", u must have knowledge.
to whom who want the world &"akhirat", u must have knowledge."

whatever thing we do, we need knowledge. to be successfull, u need knowledge. to be rich, u need knowledge. to be poor, u also need knowledge.

all in all, what it trying to tell is knowledge is power. knowledge conquer everything.
knowledge come in many ways of life, yet we learn. in the book also says:

"whatever happen around us, there is a reason for it." i like this subject. mcm, u need to think to figure out why. hehe. some people dont care. i dont care. but the reason lies behind to what happen is a lesson i cant find anywhere.

mcm... mcm... atu bah... au atu~

then again, ada interesting part where it makes me realize of something. we tend to ignore the simple things happen infront of us. those simple thing which lead to great return.

what i can summarize, nya, in life, nothing come easily. with reference to "a tree". u plant a tree today, it wont grow tall tomorro. it needs patience, constant awareness, and so on, and so on until-u-know-how-to-grow-tree-well.

same meaning to what ppl say "sikit2 lama2 jadi bukit"

in my own defition, i tend to buy trees that is already tall. then, plant it to where i want. i tend to buy bukit. hehe, my reason... i can be patience but i dont have time to wait. i cant buy time. yet i try to back to basic.

what makes high-tall building to stand perfectly still is the foundation. almost perfect.

but...

those tree metaphor is reference to millionaire's theory.

uh uh the book also say:

"business is will not get u richer. business is one way to get u rich."

"to malay, business = restaurant or contractor. restaurant or contractor is part of the worst business. reason its worst is bla bla ba i forgot"

"the poor gets poorer, the rich getting richer... its kaput "

"we are the poor who living in this world, what rich is god. we depend everything on god, we do not depend on human"

"seminar, short courses, positive thinking... sometime its "bs"(the book didnt say sometimes). what matter is the right way."

"the rich laugh, not same as the poor laugh"

uh uh the book is interesting. i dont know what its call. i read it half way and i dont know who wrote. i bought it last nov. i conclude:

"in life, nothing is impossible. yet nothing come easy"

a book is just a book. what i need is a knowledge to learn. :)

Am i pretty enough now?

Girl: Hi.

Boy: Umm... hi.

Girl: I have to tell you something...

Boy: What?

Girl: I really like you. And I... I think I'm falling in love with you.

Boy: Ok...

Girl: What do you mean "ok"?

Boy: I don't like you like that...

Girl: Why not?

Boy: I can't tell you... maybe another time...

From then on, the girl kept asking the boy "Whynot?" whenever she saw him, and he kept answering the same answer of "I'll tell you later."

Finally the girl got fed up.

Girl: I'm tired of this! Tell me why you don't like me!

Boy: Do you really wanna know why?

Girl: Yes!

Boy: It's because you're not pretty! What's the point of going out with someone when they're not pretty?!

Girl: But... I...

Boy: Just shut up and leave me alone!

The boy leaves and the girl is sitting there alone, crying her heart out. Then her cellphone rings.

Girl: Hello?

Mom: Sweetheart? I want you to go home, ok? I'll be home from work in a few hours.

Girl: Alright Mom.

Mom: I love you.

Girl: I love you too, Mom.

Mom: Bye Bye.

Girl: Bye

The girl heads home and once she got there, she went in the bathroom and looked at herself in the miror.

Girl: I'm not pretty enough...

She set to work, knowing fully well what she was going to do.
2 hours later, her Mom came home and heard the bath water running.
She went up stairs to find the hallway flooded so she knocked on the door.

Mom: Honey? Are you alright?

She opened the door and was shocked at the site.
The bath was overflowing onto the floor and the water was tinted red.
She walked over to see whatwas inside and screamed.
There, her little girl was lying with cuts all over her face and wrists.
Her Mom backed away and was going to run to call the police when something caught her eye.
On the mirror, a piece of paper was taped up.

"Am I Pretty Enough Now?"

....No one deserves to be told that by someone they love. A person's appearance doesn't count. What counts is their heart inside of them and their personality. No one wants to be told they're not good enough... Do you? I know I WANNA BELOVED FOR WHATS ON THE INSIDE.

i was thinking... who's fault to cause the girl to be dead?

is it the guy? is it the girl who weren't think what she done can cause her life? is it the "teenage-feeling"? is it the mom? is it unprettiness of the girl?... what is it?
